i have been having a problem starting my car when it is cold, it cranks and will begin to combust but wont completly fire up and i have to do it 2 or 3 times till it finally starts. Any suggestions on the problem?

Could be a bad battery/alternator. I replaced my IAT ($8), not to be confused with IAC, as suggested by a member. Its the Air Intake Temperature sensor. I was having the same problems. Once replaced, they went away. Its located on the intake tube. Easy to do.

For $8 you could try it. I'm not a fan of throwing parts at a car but sometimes its easier then having everything tested 1 times over!

I had a weak fuel pump give me the same problems. took 2-3 cycles of turning the switch on(not trying to start) off and it would start right up! I put a fuel pressure tester on the rail and watched the pressure rise on each cycle. should be aprox. 40 P.S.I. mine would start above 25 (ran rough until press. stabilized to38)

would a fuel pump also cause the car to want to stall if yo rev it even after its warmed up unless giving light gas?

You only have to post a question once.....beautiful day out, so you may have to wait a bit before someone sees your question.

There's an air valve on the fuel rail.... you must screw a gage on there....it should be a long air hose on it so that it will reach somewhere you can - either run it in the passenger window so your passenger can watch it.....or maybe wedge (tape?) it under the hood near the windshield so a passenger can watch it..... DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE AND WATCH IT AT THE SAME TIME!
