Thanks again JP. Would the Reische Performance Ford-4D thermostat, a 170 degree thermostat stop the radiator fan from coming on as often? I don't race the car or drive it in the winter (it's my convertible).

Yes, the fan was running while I was driving up my road. I'm not sure exactly what the temp was when the fan came on. I'll check those things out that you mention. Do you know a good source for the correct thermostat? It might have been changed by the previous owner.

I finally measured the temp at the crossover pipe, it was 230 degrees when the fan was running. It wasn't that hot out and the car wasn't overheating, the temp gage was below the middle point. My other cars don't seem to run the fan as often, maybe the thermostat is not opening all the way?

I just removed the left sunvisor and the A pillar trim. You can bend the headliner down enough to get the tube out. Just pop the push pins out that hold the wire harness for easy access. Be careful to not crack the headliner. The harness is only on the driver side.

The VLCM also controls the radiator fan. Does the radiator fan come on when you select max ac? It should, if not, the VLCM could be the problem. The connector to the fan sometimes looses contact too, I'm not sure if that would stop the AC also though. I think the VLCM is mounted on the air ride...

Welcome! Sounds like a nice car, thanks for bringing it back. Your oil leak might be the oil filter adaptor plate gasket, it's common for those to leak and they leak more when the engine is cold.

Yes, this affects 97-98 only. the 93-96 can have problems with the actuator itself but I think that is more rare. The breaking actuator arms on the 97-98 can be prevented by reinforcing the black arm and cutting a slot in the metal link as shown in the video. There is still stress on the black...

They are sending you a new Air Spring? I thought the problem was just the solenoid? Can you send us a photo of the broken part? I'm curious, as the main problem with these replacements seems to be the solenoid or seal on it.

I would worry about fixing the broken solenoid first, your compressor was strong enough to break it wasn't it?

The system is trying to inflate both fronts so if the left side is open pressure won't build up.

Were you trying to inflate the right side with the left side solenoid still apart? Until you can get a new solenoid you need to plug the left airline somehow. Maybe use your old solenoid with the cable disconnected so it doesn't open to test the right side . I think these new fronts use...

I haven't yet, I had to replace the airsprings yesterday as they developed slow leaks over the winter.
