Past Events Archive

• The Eastern Regional meet of the Lincoln & Continental Owner's Club held September 15-19, 1999 at the Nevele Grande at Ellenville, New York. This bought some LOD members together.
• California meeting between Jack Frakes and Co-President Alexander Sosiak from New York on January 11, 2000. I know it is only two people meeting, but this was a start.
• All-Ford Carlisle June 2-4, 2000. Our first big meet. Click on the link for some great pictures and videos.
• Toys for Tots Show in Middle Village, Queens, New York on October 28, 2000.
• Maplecrest New Jersey December 7, 2000. Alexander went to Dave at the parts counter at Maplecrest Lincoln Mercury to pick up his replacement door panel for his Collector's Edition. Informal get together with club members Sandy Block and Steve Triano.
• Anaheim, California January 10, 2001. The Southern California get together at the Radisson Anaheim Maingate Hotel bar. Members Mike Meierle, Don Koleff, Alexander Sosiak and future member Ron Powell had drinks and shared stories about their Mark VIII's.
• Dana Point, California January 7, 2001. Alexander met Club members Larry and Kathleen Knudsen. Larry has a 1998 Collector's Edition in the identical color combination as Alexander.
• All-Ford Carlisle June 1-3, 2001. With 30 cars in attendance this was our biggest meet yet. People came from as far away as Nevada, Texas and Canada!
• First Annual Lincolns on Lincoln Street meet in Long Island New York August 18, 2001.
• Toys for Tots Run November 25, 2001 from Otto Road in Glendale to St. Mary's Children's Hospital in Bayside. Six club members participated in this worthy event: Arnold Rosario, Sarah Cameron, William Anderton, Steve Triano, Ed Cicio and Alexander Sosiak.
• All-Ford Carlisle May 31 - June 2, 2002. This is the LOD's biggest event of the year. We had 46 Mark VIII's, 15 Mark VII's and 10 other Lincolns participating. The club had a conference at the Camp Hill Radisson on Friday night and an awards banquet on Saturday night.
• All-Ford Carlisle May 30 - June 1, 2003. There was drizzle on Saturday and Sunday morning and a downpour on Saturday afternoon, but the LOD tent and member's tents kept everyone dry. A lot of members showed up with Mark VIII and Mark VII's. We even had a few members with older Lincolns.
• Chicago Meet, 2003. Lincolns of Distinction members from the MidWest Chapter get together for a summer meet in Chicago.
• All-Ford Carlisle June 4-6, 2004. The restaurant experience on Saturday generated a lot of laughs. We would be hard pressed to find a restaurant again that served hot shakes, cold soup and frozen steaks.
• LOD Summer Bash July 23 - 25, 2004. Lincolns of Distinction members meet for racing, food & fun.
• All-Ford Carlisle June 3-5, 2005. A Lincolns of Distinction member has his Mark VIII in the invitational exhibition hall for the All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle for this year.
• World Ford Challenge IX, May 18 - 21, 2006. Lincolns of Distinction members gather in St. Louis at the AutoShow Spectacular for the WFC9 event.
• All-Ford Carlisle June 2-4, 2006. The Lincolns of Distinction meet again in Carlisle for the All-Ford Nationals.
• Super Southern HeavyWeight Shootout November 4th, 2006. Members of the Lincolns of Distinction racing team meet up in Atlanta for the sixth annual Super Southern HeavyWeight Shootout featuring Impalas, Marauders and Lincoln Mark VIIIs.
